GBOD Group will celebrate singles with Anti-Valentine’s Day offerings at Prohibition and El Chingon in the Gaslamp Quarter.

El Chingon:
El Chingon, GBOD’s “Bad Ass Mexican” restaurant located at 560 5 th Ave., will ditch the Valentine’s Day blues with exclusive food and beverage offerings for Mistress Day, Wednesday, Feb. 13 and a Single’s Day celebration on Thursday, Feb. 14. For both days, El Chingon will offer a three-course menu and margaritas, priced at $49, which includes margarita flights, a sampling of three signature margaritas; Bad Ass Elote, traditional Mexican street corn coated in cotija, mayonnaise, Tajín and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos; chicken tortilla soup, topped with tortilla strips, grilled chicken and queso fresco; and Bad Ass fajitas, the choice between filet mignon, chicken or shrimp flambéed tableside with onions, bell peppers and chiles toreados, served with Mexican citrus cream, pico de gallo, guacamole, rice, beans and warm corn tortillas.

Prohibition:
Prohibition, GBOD Hospitality Group’s underground speakeasy located at 548 Fifth Ave., will celebrate Mistress Day, Wednesday, Feb. 13, with cocktails that pay homage to three of American presidents’ most well-known women – Marilyn, Monica and Stormy. Created by lead bartender and GBOD Hospitality Group beverage director, Ryan Andrews, the hand- crafted cocktails will be available for $13. Marilyn is a combination of rye whiskey, demerara, R&D cherry apple bitters and R&D house bitters. For an Old Fashioned-inspired tribute to the ‘50s and ‘60s. Monica is a mix of gin, lime, pomegranate and curaçao. Stormy is made with tequila, lime, orgeat, R&D sarsaparilla bitters and cinnamon.
