“Bad Ass” Mexican and margaritas will be worth the Thanksgiving hangover at El Chingon  with $5 house margaritas this “Drinksgiving” on Wednesday, Nov. 21. El Chingon will throw a fiesta the night before the Thanksgiving feast with specially-priced house margaritas from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21. The “Bad Ass Mexican” restaurant and bar will offer its house margarita, made with Jose Cuervo tradicional tequila, lime juice and Cointreau, for $5 each throughout the entire day.

Havana 1920
Make sure you’re “Havana” good time on “Drinksgiving” at @Havana1920, with Cuban-inspired drinks and sandwiches all day. Havana 1920 will host a Cuban-themed “Drinksgiving” celebración featuring Don Q Daiquiris all day and a late-night Cubano sandwich and daiquiri combination special on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Havana 1920 will offer Don Q Daiquiris priced at $5 from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. for the holiday. The popular cocktail is made with Don Q rum, fresh lime juice and fresh sugar cane juice, and is typically priced at $12. From 10 to 11 p.m., diners may enjoy a daiquiri and Cubano sandwich combination for $12. Their award-winning Cubano sandwiches are made with slices of slow-roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard on Cuban bread, typically priced at $16.

Prohibition
Celebrate “Drinksgiving” like it’s 1920 at Prohibition with $5 Old Fashioned cocktails and live musical performances all night to kick off the holiday weekend. #Drinksgiving #OldFashioned. Prohibition, the Gaslamp Quarter’s 1920s-era underground speakeasy at 548 5 th Ave., will celebrate “Drinksgiving” the good old-fashioned way, with $5 Old Fashioned cocktails and live music from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Prohibition’s signature Old Fashioned cocktail is made with rye whiskey, house-made demerara sugar, R&D Bitters Aromatic #7 and R&D Bitters Cherry Apple. Local musicians, Lafayette Blues Band, will also kick off the holiday weekend with live performances throughout the evening.

Meze Greek Fusion
Mezé Greek Fusion, located in the Gaslamp Quarter at 345 Sixth Ave., will celebrate “Drinksgiving” with exclusive all-day deals that will make guests say, “yamas” – cheers – from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Guests who buy any bottle of wine, champagne or bottle service liquor priced at $150 or more will receive half off their meal. Guests may also take their receipts from Mezé to GBOD Hospitality Group sister venues Prohibition, the Gaslamp’s underground speakeasy located at 548 Fifth Ave., or El Chingon, the Gaslamp’s “Bad Ass Mexican” restaurant and bar specializing in agave-based cocktails located at 560 Fifth Ave., to receive free cover charge.

Monkey King
Monkey King, the Gaslamp Quarter’s Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant located at 467 5 th Ave., will celebrate a “Drinksgiving” fit for a king with $5 Monkey Mai Thai cocktails and buy one, get one half-off pineapple and punchbowl cocktails on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Monkey King’s signature Monkey Mai Thai is made with Bacardi rum, Añejo Cuatro, toasted cashew orgeat, lime, dry curaҫao and R&D house bitters. The restaurant’s shareable-sized portions, a 27-oz. stainless steel pineapple serving four for $48; and an 88-oz. ceramic conch shell serving 8 for $80, will be available for buy one, get one half-off throughout the night.
